Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

The Right Skills Now CNC program is a fast-track program that consists of college credit-bearing and non-credit coursework.  The technical training program is blended with credit and non-credit coursework that will be delivered in 16 weeks, followed by an 8-week paid internship with a local industry partner. Eligibility requirements apply.

Classes are taught by LCCC faculty in partnership with the Lorain County JVS.  LCCC’s coursework combines lecture and hands-on application.

Construction Engineering

The Construction Engineering major is designed to provide students with the knowledge, cognitive skills and hands-on experience necessary for the competent performance in an entry-level construction position. Employment opportunities exist in a variety of residential and commercial construction companies. Lorain County Community College has articulation agreements with colleges and universities including programs offered by Lorain County Community College’s University Partnership.

Maintenance Technician

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician certificate trains individuals to repair, troubleshoot, and maintain automated equipment commonly used in industry.
Within this field, there are a wide range of functions related to the control and maintenance of production, distribution and/or manufacturing conducted by automated processes. Individuals working in companies may develop and test industrial process control systems, conduct the installation and operation of such systems. They may calibrate operating systems and components and troubleshoot for improvement and functionality of these systems. Others work with programmable logic controllers involving work with special-purpose computers to synchronize all of the technologies used for a manufacturing process.
